I charge an hourly rate of for all aspects of the biography-writing process, including:

• Conducting interviews

• Writing the manuscript

• Editing and revising the final work

• Research (when applicable)

A deposit of $1,000 is required at the start of the project to secure your booking.

I charge a flat rate based on word count and project scope, which covers:

• Initial consultation to discuss your story, goals, and angle

• Research and preparation

• Writing the feature article

• One round of revisions to ensure the piece reflects you accurately

Rates vary depending on length and complexity—typically ranging from shorter profiles (800–1,200 words) to longer feature pieces (2,000–3,000 words). Get in touch to discuss your project and receive a quote.

Every project is unique, and I work closely with clients to ensure the final piece reflects their vision. Whether you're after a concise profile or a comprehensive, in-depth narrative, I'm here to accommodate your preferences regarding:

Focus – From a full life story to a specific chapter, project, or creative endeavour, the scope is entirely yours.

Interviews are an essential part of capturing your story. I offer two options:

• Online interviews for convenience and flexibility.

• In-person interviews, which can be arranged and discussed privately to accommodate your needs.

While interviews are the most common route, I’m also experienced in working from a variety of source materials, such as articles, diary entries, and other personal documents.

Biography: On average, a 150-page biography takes around three months from first interview to final manuscript, depending on scope and detail. I work to a schedule we agree on upfront, with regular check-ins throughout.

Features: You can expect a two-week turnaround from interview to polished piece, with one round of revisions included.
